I’ve cleaned off the cobwebs, swept away the dust, moved to an actual proper domain rather than a subdomain, culled the old posts… I think that’s as much as I can do to get things ready. FO: Amy’s Scarf

What do I do when I’ve got a lot of work with a relaxed deadline and no desire to actually sit and work? I finish up old knitting projects, among other things. This one has been sitting in a box since October last year, waiting for the right time. Now, the middle of the summer might not exactly be the “right” time for blocking wool scarves, but hopefully, given that it’s August already, it’ll start cooling off more soon and I can get some wear out of it. There is neither lighter burden, nor more agreeable, than a pen

I’m pretty sure I was given a fountain pen by one of my parents when I started first grade—they’re supposed to help with your handwriting, make it tidier and nicer. It didn’t really work out for me that way, and I stopped using a fountain pen in favor of pencils or ballpoint pens. There were times when I picked one up, but I never stuck with it.
